About Me

Reaching out for help from a perfect stranger can be scary. I try to make that process less difficult and accessible by approaching every session in a very collaborative manner. Once someone finds a good fit as a therapist, the rewards of therapy outweigh the potential uncomfortable feeling of the process. That isn't to say therapy is easy; it is a personal journey shared with another individual, a professional that can help guide you throughout that journey. The methodologies I employ are specific to each individual. I have a variety of training and experience, including Cognitive Behavioral, Goal-Oriented, Mindfulness Based techniques, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Therapy, etc.

I have worked in a number of systems and with a variety of populations. I worked for the Department of Mental Health and Addictions services for the state of Connecticut for several years. My work for the state primarily focused on individuals with severe childhood trauma, personality disorders, and other severe mental illnesses. I am comfortable and experienced in working through trauma, as I believe it to be an underlying aspect to many mental health issues, behaviors, and ongoing symptoms.

I believe psychology and therapy is my calling, and I commit to help those that reach out to me to the best of my abilities. I am motivated in providing quality services to those that are struggling and need some help or assistance through their journey into wellness and recovery.
